Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 2, 2026. Clear and transparent details on how DomainRecon respects your privacy.

1. Overview

Welcome to DomainRecon (accessible at https://domainrecon.org). DomainRecon provides six free domain intelligence tools — including domain availability checking, WHOIS lookup, DNS record lookup, SSL certificate analysis, subdomain discovery, and email security intelligence — directly from an account-free single input box.

We are committed to operating transparently and protecting the privacy of developers, DevOps engineers, security researchers, and all visitors using our tools worldwide.

2. Account & Registration Data

  • No accounts required: You do not need to register, log in, or create an account to use any tool on DomainRecon.
  • No personal data collection: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.

3. User Submissions & Domain Input

When you enter domain names into DomainRecon, your inputs are processed in real time to perform the requested domain intelligence checks.

  • No persistent storage: We do not store, index, or archive the domain names you submit.
  • Immediate discard: Once your lookup request is completed and results are delivered to your browser, your input is discarded.
  • No submission deletion needed: Because we do not store submitted domains, there are no saved submissions to modify or delete.

4. Automatically Collected Information & Cookies

Like most websites, DomainRecon automatically logs standard non-personally identifiable technical information:

  • Technical logs: IP addresses and browser/device metadata processed transiently by our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages) to deliver pages securely and mitigate abuse.
  • Cookies & Analytics: We use privacy-aware analytics tools to understand site traffic and usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking for marketing profiles.

5. Third-Party Infrastructure & Services

To deliver our tools reliably, DomainRecon relies on the following third-party infrastructure:

Hosting Provider: Cloudflare Pages (global CDN & edge hosting)

Analytics Providers: Google Analytics 4 (`G-X8E34JDQZH`) and Microsoft Clarity

Domain Intelligence APIs: Data lookup requests are processed via authoritative registry WHOIS/DNS protocols and third-party APIs (whoisjson.com and whoisfreaks.com)

Database / Auth / Email / Payments / Ads: None

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • We never sell your data: DomainRecon does not sell, rent, or trade user data to advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.
  • API Forwarding: Submitted domain names are sent to upstream lookup providers to fetch live DNS/WHOIS records.
  • Legal Disclosure: We will disclose information only if strictly required by applicable legal obligations, court orders, or to defend the legal rights and security of DomainRecon.

7. User Rights, Security & Data Retention

Because DomainRecon does not require accounts, store personal data, or maintain user profiles:

  • HTTPS Encryption: All communication with DomainRecon is strictly encrypted via HTTPS (TLS/SSL).
  • Data Retention: Zero user-submitted domain data is retained. Analytics data is held per standard provider retention windows (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).
  • User Rights: There are no user accounts to delete or personal records to access or rectify. You hold full control over your browser cookies.

8. Contact & Operator Information

DomainRecon is operated independently. If you have questions, feedback, or inquiries regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us via email at:
